Description
ifm SM6000 Magnetic-Inductive Flow Meter
The ifm SM6000 monitors flow, accumulated volume and temperature in conductive water-based liquids. For a suitably specified turbine or converter cooling branch, it can provide local indication and a process signal to the control system.

Application and selection
Select this meter for a cooling branch whose flow range, pressure, fluid chemistry and conductivity match the stated limits. It is intended for conductive liquids; hydraulic oil and other non-conductive fluids require a different sensing approach.
For water-glycol coolant, confirm mixture conductivity, viscosity, temperature and material compatibility. Define the required control signal and totaliser function before ordering. Pipe adapters, seals, mating cable and an IO-Link master, if required, are separately specified.
