The UNI-T UT315A is a portable vibration meter for spot checks on rotating and reciprocating machinery. It measures acceleration, vibration velocity and displacement, with local storage and USB communication for maintenance records.

Application and selection

For wind farm maintenance teams, the meter can support repeatable checks on auxiliary motors, cooling fans and pumps. Compare readings taken at consistent mounting points, directions, speeds and operating loads, using limits selected for the equipment.

Its measurement bands start at 10 Hz, so suitability for slow-speed wind turbine components must be assessed separately. The instrument measures overall vibration values and does not replace a configured online condition-monitoring or diagnostic spectrum-analysis system. The long probe is restricted to low-frequency work; follow the manufacturer's probe-selection guidance.
