Application and selection
The UT372D can help verify the running speed of suitably accessible auxiliary motors, cooling fans and drive components during a planned wind farm maintenance task. Select optical or contact measurement according to the access, speed and measurement surface.
Optical readings require an appropriate reflective target and the specified measurement distance. Contact accessories must suit the shaft or moving surface. Establish safe access and the relevant machinery procedure before testing; the handheld instrument is not a permanent overspeed-protection device.
