Description
Beckhoff EL3356-0010 EtherCAT Bridge Measurement Terminal
The Beckhoff EL3356-0010 connects a full-bridge strain-gauge transducer or load cell to an EtherCAT system. Its configurable conversion rate and distributed-clock support make it an option for instrumented load, torque and test-bench measurements in a wind energy engineering project.

Application and selection
The complete acquisition chain requires a compatible bridge transducer, suitable excitation, EtherCAT coupler or controller, wiring, software configuration and calibration. This terminal provides the electrical acquisition interface; the transducer and the mechanical installation determine the measured load or torque.
Choose the conversion time and filters for the signal bandwidth and required noise performance. The 10,000 samples/s limit and the finest filtered measurement performance apply to different operating settings. Confirm the complete EL3356-0010 model when specifying replacements or expanding an existing rack.
