The Beckhoff EL6224 is a four-port IO-Link master terminal for EtherCAT I/O systems. It connects compatible IO-Link sensors and actuators to an EtherCAT control platform, supporting process-data exchange, device parameterisation and diagnostic access in industrial monitoring and control applications.

Application and selection

For wind turbine auxiliary systems and wind farm equipment, the EL6224 can bring compatible pressure, flow, temperature or humidity devices into a configured EtherCAT network. Device selection and controller engineering determine the process data and diagnostics available to the application.

Specify a compatible EtherCAT controller or coupler, terminal assembly, field power and suitable IO-Link devices. Confirm each device's IODD, current demand, connection and shielding requirements. The terminal is not a standalone logger, and device integration is not established by an M12 connector alone.
